Title loans

Rate cap
Wyoming has no separate motor-vehicle-title-loan statute or license category; a vehicle-title-secured consumer loan would be made under the general Consumer Lender / UCCC framework (see installment product) and would be classified as a supervised loan subject to the sec. 40-14-348 tiered rate cap (36 percent per year up to 1,000 dollars principal, 21 percent per year above that, or the alternative formula) if the rate exceeds 10 percent per year.
Fees
Same as installment/supervised-loan structure under sec. 40-14-348; no title-loan-specific fee schedule exists.
License
Consumer Lender license under W.S. sec. 40-14-302/40-14-304 (the Wyoming Division of Banking's license-type list for consumer lending does not separately name 'title lender'); state law allows title loans, regulated as a form of secured consumer/supervised loan.
